INTERNSHIP
The three-year Design degree program includes a training internship to be completed in the third year, for a minimum of 150 hours. This gives students the opportunity to complete a training period at a company or institution: a concrete opportunity for direct entry into the working world and a chance to learn specific professional skills.
The internship consists of a period in which students are placed within an external research, production or professional organization, in order to learn how to apply the principles and content covered in their coursework.
Istituto del Design signs numerous agreements every year with various institutional partners, companies and public and private organizations, to enable its students to complete this training experience in Italy or abroad.
PLACEMENT / CAREER SERVICE
The Institute has an active Career Service Office, open to all enrolled students.
This office supports students in the transition from the Institute to the working world, helping them develop tools for professional self-promotion and guiding them through their first experiences engaging with the job market. It assists students at every stage: from choosing an internship, to preparing for the interview, through to the final evaluation of the experience. The service also helps students structure their self-promotion tools: drafting a CV, cover letter and professional portfolio.
A range of job placement opportunities are offered in response to the various requests that Istituto del Design receives from companies and professional studios seeking to hire.
