The European Union programme for international mobility in education, training, youth and sport

Erasmus+ is the European Union’s Programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport for the 2021-2027 period, established by Regulation (EU) 2021/817. It funds study, training, work and volunteering experiences abroad, with the aim of raising the quality of European education and training systems and strengthening the link between education and the world of work.

Why take part in the Erasmus+ Programme?

A financial contribution to cover living costs abroad

Exemption from tuition fees at the host university

Equal rights and duties as students of the host institution

Access to the same services available to local students

Recognition and validation of coursework and traineeships completed abroad

Who can take part?

Students regularly enrolled at Istituto del Design

Teaching and non-teaching staff of the Institute

How the programme works

Erasmus+ is structured around three Key Actions:

KA1 — Learning Mobility

Mobility of students, recent graduates, young people and staff to partner institutions and organisations in Europe and worldwide.

KA2 — Strategic Partnerships

Cooperation between higher education institutions and public and private organisations to develop innovative practices.

KA3 — Support for Policy Reform

Meetings between young people and youth policy makers to harmonise policies at European level.

Istituto del Design is engaged in Key Action 1, with two mobility pathways dedicated to students.

Study, do a traineeship, grow: your international experience starts here.

Istituto del Design’s focus

Erasmus+ Study — Study Mobility

Allows students to attend classes and workshops, sit exams and develop theses or research activities at a partner university abroad, with full recognition upon return.

Erasmus+ Traineeship — Traineeship Mobility

Allows students to complete a training placement at companies, public bodies, research and training centres abroad, even within one year of graduation.

The two options can also be combined, uniting academic and professional experience in a single international pathway.

Istituto del Design takes part in the Erasmus 2021-2027 Programme as holder of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE).
