IdD, in addition to its research activities, also promotes, independently or in cooperation with other organizations, a wide-ranging program in the field of artistic and cultural production, aimed at showcasing the skills and talent of students and faculty, and develops, by fostering dialogue between students and experts, projects relevant to its academic disciplines and consistent with its educational goals.
It designs, organizes and supports events, productions and publications characterized by a 360-degree perspective on design and contemporary culture, with particular attention to generational trends linked to new visual arts languages through new forms of expression.
IdD is also a place open to the city, attuned to the rhythms and character of the local area, offering space for exhibitions, workshops, labs, debates, seminars, festivals and masterclasses. It aims to become a point of reference in the region for everything related to art and culture — a meeting point between different international realities, where a shared language can develop among talents and innovators, citizens and institutions, public and private, startups and established businesses, with the goal of increasing the region’s potential for social and technological innovation.
